As we conclude this series on 12th October, we look at “He Never Said…God helps those who help themselves..”

We tend to think of Jesus being exactly like us… So much so, in fact, that’s it easy to forget just how different his world was and to find ourselves imagining that the things we do and say are the kind of things he did and said.

As a result we often use him to rubber-stamp values that he not only didn’t believe in but wouldn’t have believed in. What’s more, most of the time, we’re not even aware we’re doing it.

“He never said…” is a series of messages which challenge us to consider some of the statements attributed to Jesus but which he never actually said. There may be some surprises in store for us!
